Please join us for a live CLE webinar on the Alternative Dispute Resolution topic Drafting and Using Arbitration Clauses: Tips from a Litigator and Arbitrator, presented by Paul Schwartz of Shoemaker, Ghiselli + Schwartz LLC.

Arbitration has the potential to be quicker, more efficient, and less expensive than traditional litigation. It also offers parties the opportunity to tailor their dispute resolution process. Too often, however, parties insert off-the-shelf arbitration clauses into their contracts that not only fail to achjeve arbitration’s potential, but also create new issues for litigation. This CLE will provide practical tips and resources for drafting and litigating arbitration clauses. The CLE will be of interest to both business/contract attorneys who draft and negotiate arbitration clauses and litigators who implement, enforce, and/or challenge arbitration clauses.

Paul Schwartz is a co-founder and partner at Shoemaker Ghiselli + Schwartz LLC. For nearly three decades he has litigated and arbitrated complex business disputes in a variety of forums across the country. Paul also is an arbitrator on the Commercial and Consumer panels of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), as well as a member of AAA’s Merger and Acquisitions and Joint Venture Specialty Panel and Cannabis Specialty Panel. Before starting his career in private practice, Paul clerked for Justices Stephen Breyer and Harry A. Blackmun (Ret.) on the Supreme Court of the United States.

This lunchtime program will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 pm via Zoom webinar. The Zoom link will be sent out to all registrants.
