The presentation will cover the seven bills that passed in the 2023 legislative session impacting Title 13 and Title 38 landlord tenant laws. In addition, the presentation will cover two recent Colorado opinions that impact demand/notices for housing covered by federal funding and the warranty of habitability. The presentation will briefly touch on new requirements that need to be added to leases per the new legislation. The primary focus of the presentation, however, will be the new forms and procedure for initiating and sustaining an eviction action, real world implications of the new procedures (and in particular the local impact for Boulder County Courts and its procedure), and what may come in the 2024 legislation based upon bills that did not pass in the 2023 session.
