Please join us on Wednesday, October 29th for “The Only Constant is Change,” a one-hour, Colorado CLE-approved presentation by Boulder-based lawyer Jake Rubinstein of Cozen O’Connor. This presentation will bring you up to date (for the moment!) on Colorado’s rapidly transforming employment law landscape.

THE ONLY CONSTANT IS CHANGE – KEEPING UP WITH COLORADO EMPLOYMENT LAW CHANGES

The last four years have brought rapid change to employment laws in Colorado with new statutes and amendments to existing statutes creating a dynamic environment for employers and employees alike.

Colorado has quickly become a national leader in legislative activism affecting the relationship between workers and their employers, jumping to the forefront in the areas of pay equity and transparency (Equal Pay for Equal Work Act), wage payment enforcement (enhanced penalties under the Colorado Wage Act), paid family leave (FAMLI), paid sick leave (Healthy Families and Workplaces Act), worker protections against overreach in nondisclosure agreements and expansion of the definition of workplace harassment (POWR Act), the tightening of longstanding restrictions on non-compete agreements and, potentially, unprecedented state regulation of employers’ use of artificial intelligence.

Whether you believe the legislature’s recent dynamism has caused over-regulation or whether you believe these changes provide a much needed leveling of the playing field for workers and employers, all can agree that change has been both rapid and impactful.
