Please join us on Thursday, November 6 for a BCBA CLE with CAMP: Leading Through Generations

Presented by Ryann Peyton, Executive Director of the Colorado Office of Attorney Professional Excellence (APEX)

Today’s legal profession spans five distinct generations — each with its own values, experiences, and ways of communicating. While this diversity can sometimes create tension, it also presents a unique opportunity: the chance to learn from each other, bridge divides, and create stronger, more resilient teams.

This interactive workshop dives into the challenges and opportunities that come with generational differences in the workplace. Participants will explore how biases and assumptions can quietly undermine collaboration, and they’ll learn practical strategies for breaking down barriers and building trust across age groups. Through guided discussion and hands-on exercises, attendees will:

  • Recognize the strengths and blind spots each generation brings to the practice of law.
  • Gain insight into diverse communication styles and how to adapt effectively.
  • Identify common sources of friction — and transform them into opportunities for innovation.
  • Practice techniques to foster inclusive dialogue and a shared sense of purpose.
  • Develop actionable tools for mentoring, teamwork, and leadership in multi-generational settings.

By the end of the session, participants will walk away with fresh perspectives and concrete skills to lead and thrive in a profession that depends on collaboration across generations.
